Agree first, argue second
When arguing, always remember two important things: you need to listen to your partner and always find at least one thing to agree. If you listen carefully, you'll find it. Then found start your speech from this, agree with your partner first, do this sincerely and then argue. Everybody likes to be heard, and your agreement will decrease tension. Thinking about your position only will create two monologues instead of one dialogue. PR people create dialogues. An π¬π§ πΊπΈΒ actress, stage professional Hayley Atwell knows this because of her profession, but this also works for our daily practice, and this could be a great consultation to your client.
