Never judge, just listen
When you long enough on one problem, you start to think that your view is the right one. That is why it is always a good idea to step back and feel the situation from outside. And this means to interact and listen. When you listen carefully, you can catch a different view, and this different view always has other roots than yours. When you know these roots, you can adjust your activities to communicate right. Never judge. Just listen and try to understand. By doing this, you'll create a lot of value for yourself and your client. Having this valuable background, you'll be a better PR professional. Being a psychotherapist, former hospice chaplain, bereavement group leader, and author Sue Patton Thoele know a lot about the power of listening.
